My favorite animals are dogs. A favorite story about a dog - Hachiko - the most loyal friend.
Here is his story.
Hachiko was born on November 10, 1923 in the Japanese Prefecture Akita. The farmer decided to give the puppy Hidesaburo Professor Ueno who worked at the University of Tokyo. The Professor gave the puppy named Hachiko from hachi (eight) and a suffix kō, meaning the attachment or dependence.

When Hachiko grew up, everywhere it certainly followed its master. The daily was in town for work, so the dog initially walked him to the entrance to the Shibuya station, and then at 3pm again came back there to meet the owner.

May 21, 1925 Professor at the University had a heart attack. Doctors were unable to save his life, and home, he never returned. Hachiko was eighteen months. That day he did not wait, but began to come to the station daily, waiting patiently for it until late in the evening. He slept on the porch of the Professors house.

Despite the fact that the dog was trying to attach to the homes of friends and relatives of the Professor, he always continued to return to the station. Local merchants and the railroad lured Hachiko, admiring his persistence.

The dog has become known all over Japan in 1932 after the publication in a leading newspaper Tokyo article, "faithful old dog awaits return of his master, who died seven years ago". The story has captured the hearts of the Japanese, and the station of Shibuya began to come curious to see the dog.
