Not to mention that you can read books, watch TV showsand movies in original language. In other words, knowing English gives you anopportunity to be a part of the global community.

At school we learnRussian as a first language, English and German. We learn grammar of thoselanguages, try to memorize new words and keep improving our skills on lessons. Eventhough our teachers do their best to teach us those languages, I believe that aperson should understand why he needs to learn it and make an effort to learnit by himself. Like one wise teacher on the Internet said: “I can teach you the language, but I can’t learn it for you”.
